# AI Automation and Agents

> AI automation for Irish small and medium businesses: one defined workflow automated end to end, with monitoring, a runbook and staff training, built by a founder. From €2,500, excluding VAT.

AI automation for Irish SMEs.

AI Automation and Agents is a build service. We take one defined workflow in your business, such as document intake, quote preparation, reconciliation or support triage, and automate it end to end. It comes with monitoring, a runbook and staff training. It is for Irish small and medium businesses where manual admin eats hours and there is no senior technical lead to take on the automation. From €2,500, excluding VAT, for one workflow. We do not publish a fixed length for this work.

## Who it is for

Check whether this matches your business.

You run an Irish business and you have no senior technical lead. This page is for you if one of these sounds familiar:

- Manual admin eats hours, and the same job comes round every day or every week.
- Someone on your team does document intake, quote preparation, reconciliation or support triage by hand.

If you are not sure which job to automate first, start smaller. The AI Quick-Start Assessment (€495) looks at your current tools and names three quick wins. The [AI Readiness Discovery](https://wisdomengineers.ie/services/ai-readiness/) ends with an opportunity shortlist, with the effort and value of each.

We work across Ireland, remotely first and on site by arrangement.

## The problem

What you are dealing with today.

Manual admin eats hours, and you have no senior technical lead to automate it. Which job could we automate? What would it cost? And who looks after it when something stops working?

We are not a reseller of one vendor's AI tool, and we sell specific, priced pieces of work, not a transformation programme.

## What we do

The work, step by step.

A founder does the work. For one defined workflow we:

1. Write the scope for the workflow.
2. Build the automation end to end, with tests.
3. Show you the work in a demo every week while we build.
4. Set up monitoring.
5. Write a runbook, so you never depend on one person's memory.
6. Train the staff who will use it.
7. Hand over, with a written handover pack.

Piotr Gospodarczyk, one of the two founders, leads technical delivery. Aditya Kannan, the other founder, leads client relationships and project management, so you have one accountable person who is not writing the code.

## What you get

A written handover comes with every engagement.

- one defined workflow, automated end to end
- monitoring
- a runbook
- staff training
- a written handover

## Timeline

How long the work takes.

We do not publish a fixed length for an automation build. Ask us on a call how long your workflow would take.

## Price

A fixed scope and a fixed price.

### AI Automation and Agents

For businesses where manual admin eats hours and there is no senior technical lead to take it on. We automate one defined workflow end to end.

From €2,500

- A defined workflow automated end to end
- Monitoring
- A runbook
- Staff training

Excluding VAT, which is added at 23%.

## What does the task cost you each year?

To estimate a task's yearly cost, multiply hours a week by the hourly cost of the person doing it. Then multiply by 46 working weeks.

## Funding fit

Grants that may pay part of this work.

**Grow Digital Voucher (Local Enterprise Office).** It does not cover custom software. The Local Enterprise Office's own page says: "Custom or bespoke software is not eligible for grant support." What it does cover:

- subscriptions to "off the shelf" business software that is new to the business, for up to one year, including "Analytics software (including AI systems)"
- training and configuration, where "Training and Configuration amount combined can be no more than 50% of the overall project cost"

The grant is "50% of eligible costs with minimum grant aid of €500 up to a maximum grant of €5,000 per application". A business can be approved for two vouchers at most. The two share one cap: "Enterprises can be approved a maximum of two Grow Digital Voucher projects up to a maximum cumulative grant value of €5,000 as identified in their Digital for Business project to support their Digitalisation journey."

It is open to small enterprises with between 1 and 50 paid employees that:

- "have completed a Digital for Business Project within the previous two years"
- "are not currently clients of Enterprise Ireland or IDA"
- "are established and trading for at least 6 months, registered, and operate within the area of the Local Enterprise Office"
- "are solvent as demonstrated in the financial statements supplied"

The page lists further conditions after these, including current tax clearance from Revenue. It also says: "An application must be submitted before any project expenditure is incurred or any project activity commences."

So a custom automation we build for you **is not covered**. If your workflow can run on an off-the-shelf AI tool, we can do the training and configuration. Your Local Enterprise Office decides eligibility, so ask it whether the voucher applies.

**Digital Process Innovation (Enterprise Ireland).** It covers "50% of the eligible costs, up to a maximum grant of €150,000". The scheme's Terms of Reference add: "The Committee may offer grant at a lower rate than the maxima above." Eligible costs include "Reasonable external consultancy costs". It has a condition that matters for automation. Its brochure says: "The project must involve some level of innovation or risk of failure and must not be focused on routine operational changes or responding to changes in regulation." Subcontracted or consultancy work can be no more than 60% of the total costs; above that, the project is ineligible. Enterprise Ireland advises talking to your Enterprise Ireland Advisor before you apply, or to your local Enterprise Ireland office if you are not a client. Enterprise Ireland decides eligibility. You cannot apply for less than €20,000 of eligible grant support, and you must apply before any work on the project starts. Our [Digital Process Innovation guide](https://wisdomengineers.ie/funding/digital-process-innovation/) sets out the other conditions.

**Digital Discovery (Enterprise Ireland)** pays towards "The support of an external Digital expert, for between 3 and 7 days". Its page says this "is based on training or advisory services". It supports "Guidance on the implementation of new or enhanced digital, data, automation or AI solutions". For firms that meet its rules, it may help pay for the [AI Readiness Discovery](https://wisdomengineers.ie/services/ai-readiness/) that comes before a build.

We do not decide who is eligible. Each agency publishes its scheme's rules and takes questions. We never promise approval.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does AI automation cost for a small business?

From €2,500, excluding VAT, which is added at the standard rate of 23%. That is a starting price, not a fixed package price. It includes monitoring, a runbook and staff training. Every price is published on our [pricing page](https://wisdomengineers.ie/pricing/).

### Which jobs can you automate?

One defined workflow per engagement. Examples are document intake, quote preparation, reconciliation and support triage. If you do not yet know which workflow is worth automating, the AI Readiness Discovery shortlists the opportunities with their effort and value.

### Who looks after the automation once it is running?

You get monitoring, a runbook, staff training and a written handover, so your team can run it. If you would rather we looked after it, the Software Concierge Essentials tier costs €450 a month, excluding VAT, for support, small changes and monitoring. Its hours, response target and terms are on the [Software Concierge page](https://wisdomengineers.ie/services/software-concierge/#concierge-essentials).

### Can a grant pay for it?

Not through Grow Digital: "Custom or bespoke software is not eligible for grant support." Enterprise Ireland's Digital Process Innovation grant covers 50% of eligible costs, including "Reasonable external consultancy costs". The scheme's Terms of Reference add: "The Committee may offer grant at a lower rate than the maxima above." The project "must involve some level of innovation or risk of failure and must not be focused on routine operational changes or responding to changes in regulation". The Funding fit section above sets out the rules.

### Are you an AI automation agency?

Yes: we are a two-founder AI automation agency in Ireland. A founder does the work, every price is published, and a written handover comes with every engagement. We are not a reseller of one vendor's AI tool.

### Do you come on site?

We work remotely first and come on site by arrangement, anywhere in Ireland.
