Product and MVP Development in Ireland.

Product and MVP Development is a build service. We take a new product from the first commit to the first paying user, and we show you the work in a demo every week. It is for funded founders and for established Irish businesses with no senior technical lead that need custom software built. From €12,000, excluding VAT. We do not publish a fixed length for this work.

## Who it is for

Check whether this matches your business.

This page is for you if one of these sounds familiar:

- You are a funded founder, and you need a product built.
- You run an established Irish business with no senior technical lead, and you want a new product built.

If you already have a working proof of concept or MVP, [Prototype to Production](https://wisdomengineers.ie/services/prototype-to-production/) hardens it. From €9,500, excluding VAT. If you have an AI-built or inherited codebase, the Code Health Check (€1,450) reviews it and ranks the top ten fixes by risk.

We work across Ireland, remotely first and on site by arrangement.

## The problem

What you are dealing with today.

You want a new product built, and you have no senior technical lead to build it. What do we build? What does it cost? And how do you see progress while we build it?

We are not an offshore build shop. We sell specific, priced pieces of work, not a transformation programme.

## What we do

The work, step by step.

A founder does the work. For a new product we:

1. Write the scope.
2. Build the product from the first commit to the first paying user, with tests.
3. Show you the work in a demo every week while we build.
4. Hand over, with a written handover pack.

Piotr Gospodarczyk, one of the two founders, leads technical delivery. Aditya Kannan, the other founder, leads client relationships and project management, so you have one accountable person who is not writing the code.

## What you get

A written handover comes with every engagement.

- a new product, from first commit to first paying user
- weekly demos
- tests
- a written handover

## Timeline

How long the work takes.

We do not publish a fixed length for Product and MVP Development. You see the work in a demo every week while we build. Ask us on a call how long your product would take.

## Price

A fixed scope and a fixed price.

## Funding fit

Grants that may pay part of this work.

None of the three schemes below pays for the whole build. Grow Digital rules out custom software in its own words. Digital Discovery pays towards an expert's "training or advisory services". Digital Process Innovation may part-fund a build if your project meets its conditions.

**Grow Digital Voucher (Local Enterprise Office).** It does not cover custom software. The Local Enterprise Office's own page says: "Custom or bespoke software is not eligible for grant support." Your Local Enterprise Office decides eligibility, and its page says that "Any queries in relation to the eligibility of an activity will be directed to the Enterprise Ireland Policy department who will assess the case."

**Digital Discovery (Enterprise Ireland).** It pays towards "The support of an external Digital expert, for between 3 and 7 days", and its page says this "is based on training or advisory services". The page lists "product development" among the general management consultancy it does not cover. Enterprise Ireland decides eligibility.

**Digital Process Innovation (Enterprise Ireland).** It covers "50% of the eligible costs, up to a maximum grant of €150,000". The scheme's Terms of Reference add: "The Committee may offer grant at a lower rate than the maxima above." Eligible costs include "Reasonable external consultancy costs". One of its conditions: "The project must involve some level of innovation or risk of failure and must not be focused on routine operational changes or responding to changes in regulation." Subcontracted or consultancy work can be no more than 60% of the total costs; above that, the project is ineligible. Enterprise Ireland decides eligibility. You cannot apply for less than €20,000 of eligible grant support, and you must apply before any work on the project starts. Our [Digital Process Innovation guide](https://wisdomengineers.ie/funding/digital-process-innovation/) sets out the other conditions.

We do not decide who is eligible. Each agency publishes its scheme's rules and takes questions. We never promise approval.

## Frequently asked questions

### How much does custom software development cost?

From €12,000, excluding VAT, which is added at the standard rate. Every price is published on our pricing page, including [the Product and MVP Development price](https://wisdomengineers.ie/pricing/#product-development).

The first five SME clients get 20% off any offer, this one included, in exchange for a published, named case study and a reference call. Its terms are on the pricing page, in [the Founding-Client Offer section](https://wisdomengineers.ie/pricing/#pricing-founding).

### How long does it take to build an MVP?

We do not publish a fixed length. You see the product in a demo every week while we build it. Ask us on a call how long yours would take.

### Can a grant pay for it?

Not through Grow Digital: "Custom or bespoke software is not eligible for grant support." Digital Discovery pays towards an external digital expert for 3 to 7 days. Its page says this "is based on training or advisory services", and lists "product development" among the general management consultancy it does not cover. Digital Process Innovation may part-fund a build that meets its conditions. The Funding fit section above quotes its main condition in full.

### I already have a prototype or an AI-built app. Where do I start?

[Prototype to Production](https://wisdomengineers.ie/services/prototype-to-production/) hardens a working proof of concept or MVP: authentication, data isolation, audit, tests, CI/CD, monitoring and handover. From €9,500, excluding VAT. If you have an AI-built or inherited codebase, the Code Health Check (€1,450) reviews it and gives you a written report and a walkthrough.

### Who looks after the product once it is live?

You get a written handover pack. If you would rather we looked after it, the Software Concierge Essentials tier costs €450 a month, excluding VAT, for support, small changes and monitoring. Its hours, response target and terms are on the [Software Concierge page](https://wisdomengineers.ie/services/software-concierge/#concierge-essentials).

### Are you a software development company?

We are a two-founder technical partner in Ireland. A founder does the work, every price is published, and a written handover comes with every engagement. We are not an offshore build shop.
